Today, I finished reading ‘What are the Gospels? A comparison with Graeco-Roman Biography’ by Richard Burridge. Conclusion: The 4 gospels are to be identified as ancient biographies, similar in style and purpose to Tacitus’ Agricola, Plutarch on Cato, or Suetonius on The Life of the Twelve Caesars.
